MINISTRY OF FAMILY LIFE AT ST. JOHN THE BAPTIST

The Ministry of Family Life seeks to serve the human, catechetical, spiritual, and apostolic formation for engaged couples, newly married couples, families with children in the womb through families with high school children, and couples wishing to conceive or adopt. Through this, our hope is to accompany families in their "evangelizing and missionary task" as the "domestic church" in the world (Catechism of the Catholic Church 2204-2205).

The Christian Family, in fact, is the first community called to announce the Gospel to the human person during growth and to bring him or her, through a progressive education and catechesis, to full human and Christian maturity.
-St. John Paul II (Familiaris Consortio 2)

The Church...feels the pressing need to proclaim the Gospel...to all people without exception, in particular to those who are called to marriage and are preparing for it, to all married couples and parents in the world.
-St. John Paul II (Familiaris Consortio 3)
